Lisa Buss
Family Nurse Practitioner
Every season has its own blessings BUT, I will admit, one might have to change how they evaluate “blessings” vs “challenges”.
I have lived in Greeley my entire adult life. I was born and raised in San Diego, California and left just as things were starting to get populated. Until then, it was pretty much me, my dog, the lizards, dirt bikes and sailboats. I came to Colorado in pursuit of a slower paced life.

I became interested in alternative health in my quest for solutions for my own migraines. My own family tree is peppered with many who found the answers to their “ills” in ways I did not want to mimic. In working with many addicted individuals, I have come to understand them differently. They are not necessarily looking to get high, although that is one pursuit. Most of the people I met while working in hospitals and clinics, were seeking comfort, an end to suffering, to change the way they were feeling, to feel “normal”. During this time, I have learned that Western Medicine can be miraculous BUT might not necessarily be the first, best answer.
I enjoy helping others figure out if and/how they can get off their medications through diet and lifestyle changes. I began to learn about other health traditions so that I might be able to offer my patients more options.
Thankfully, because I have a license to practice medicine, I know how to navigate the world of insurance coverage and drug plans BUT, I am also able to provide research based alternative therapies. Furthermore, I also teach at a local University. Because of this, I believe I can help you understand your options more fully while we develop your own plan to meet your specific health goals.
